The final model from the latest delivery by Ravenstar Studios is the Lares-Class Fast Grav Tank (not to be confused with the Mercury-Class Fast Grav Tank from the same range which is stunningly similar). The model comes with a selection of four different cannons. Additionally, there is a small detailing bit that is to be glued to the rear of the hull. The quality of casting is on the same level as the two minis mentioned before. At the moment this concludes the review of Ravenstar models. There is another mini I would like to get my hands on .... a walker type tank. But this will be something to be ordered in the future. Dimensions: length 90mm, width 50mm, height 30mm
Next up is the Coccid Medium Tank. The model's footprint (pun intended) is the exactly same as the APC variant. The chassis is a bit more streamlined and not as bulky. It sports a turret made of metal. The detailing is just as good as its larger cousin. Dimensions: length 78mm, width 40mm, height 28mm Both models side by side. At moment the two models are all I have but I've decided to get some more variants. I will present these when they arrive.
At long last another review of a new vehicle. Alternative Armies released a new range of hover vehicles a short while ago. The first one to be reviewed will be the Gremlin Hover APC. The kit is fairly straight forward and consists of a main chassis, a small turret (both made from resin) and two guns made from metal. There is very little flash from the casting process on the mini. The tank itself is very detailed. The overall appearance is quite modern and IMHO would easily be a nice addition to a game like Hammer's Slammers. The chassis is about 85mm long, 55mm wide and tops at about 25mm (give or take 1 mm).
